Somali Authorities Start Military Maneuver in Jowhat Town

Balcad, (insidesomalia.org)-The securities of forces of Middle Shabelle region have started an armed military movement in some areas of the region on Sunday according to police officials.

In their new-fangled military movement is said to be meant to fight against the robbery acts in the region.

Moreover the Government troops have also seized a number of people in the town accusing them of making robbery in Bal,ad neighborhood of Middle Shabelle region.

The spokesman of Bal,ad administration Mohamed Abshir has told Shabelle that the defendants have made robbery on a civilian vehicles in Bal,ad and were in detention with in the region.

He also vowed that they will stand on trial the defendants to tell off their mistakes.

More over hundreds of the government troops in the region have started to patrol in areas of middle Shabelle region following armed fighters from the Islamic courts union have seized in the past Jowhar town.

Nevertheless some reliable sources told Shabelle English service that the Islamic courts fighters have set up bases in areas of the region specifically Mahaday neighborhood and other areas close to it.

Jowhar, a key town 90 km north of Mogadishu which served as a base for the interim government in 2005, was briefly captured last week in attacks that exposed the government's inability to assert its authority, despite support from Ethiopian troops
